Prevention matters. The earlier, the better.
Did you know that
With Mirantus, prevention is now simple.
How it works.

Step 1
Book an appointment
No referral, no long wait.
Look for your Mirantus partner optician nearby. Choose the right one from hundreds of locations.

Step 2
Screening at the optician
No eye drops, no pupil dilation – thanks to state-of-the-art technology.
In about 15 minutes, after a vision test and lens assessment, the optician takes a few more measurements, such as a retinal image and an eye-pressure measurement.

Step 3
Assessment by ophthalmologists
Results report within 24–48 hours
Within a short time, ophthalmologists check your measurements for abnormalities and send you a detailed report digitally. No diagnosis is made.

Step 4
Follow-up care if needed
For prompt care if anything is found.
If an abnormality has been found, you can request an appointment with hundreds of partner ophthalmologists through Mirantus.
Your result
This is what you receive.
A written results report by an ophthalmologist: easy to understand and with all measurements and your images.
- Within 24–48 hours, digitally
- All measurements at a glance, with normal ranges
- A recommendation on what to do next
The results report is not a medical diagnosis and does not replace a visit to an ophthalmologist.

Testimonials
“After years without an eye check, Mirantus finally got me an appointment, and then straight away help from a partner doctor in Leipzig – thank you!”

“The check took place in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff member took plenty of time for me, everything was well prepared and carried out very professionally. My questions were answered clearly and competently. I can recommend it without reservation.”

“Thanks to the eye check at Mirantus, I found out that my eye pressure was too high. After an appointment at a partner practice I was given eye drops that may now prevent damage that would otherwise have occurred – simply great!”

Frequently asked questions
Who is Mirantus Health?
Mirantus Health is one of Germany's leading healthcare companies, specialising in improving access to care nationwide. In 2023, Handelsblatt and Techniker Krankenkasse named Mirantus one of the ten most innovative healthcare companies in Germany as part of the Health-i Awards.
Who carries out the screening?
The screening is carried out by trained specialists (opticians/optometrists).
Do I need an appointment?
Yes – to avoid waiting, please book an appointment in advance. At partner opticians, appointments are booked through the optician's website – alternatively, you can simply call them and arrange your Mirantus check.
What does it cost?
The screening costs €69 in the Mirantus Augenmobil, our mobile screening van; at partner opticians the price usually ranges from €49 to €99. This includes all measurements including intraocular pressure and the written results report from a specialist in ophthalmology.
Does the screening replace a visit to an ophthalmologist?
The screening with a results report is a non-medical preventive service that aims to detect changes in the eye as early as possible. This service replaces neither diagnosis nor treatment by an ophthalmologist on site and is not suitable for people with acute eye problems. Mirantus is not a medical provider and does not make diagnoses itself. The results report is not a medical diagnosis.
